Program Description
The National Certificate 4 in School Health Officer is intended to give students the advanced knowledge, useful skills, and professional competences needed to assist and promote welfare, safety, and health in educational settings. This program equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to help schools implement successful health and safety programs, fostering a secure and encouraging environment for both staff and children.
Human anatomy and physiology, psychological first aid, communicable disease prevention, disaster preparedness, health promotion, and child welfare are among the competences that students will acquire. Additionally, the program focuses on raising awareness of mental health issues, helping kids with special needs, tracking the development of students, and doing basic screenings for hearing, vision, and oral health. Students will acquire hands-on experience in carrying out school health initiatives, managing medical equipment, and efficiently handling crises and health issues in learning environments.
This degree equips people to make significant contributions to community health awareness campaigns, school health management, and student wellness in the Maldives through a blend of academic study and real-world experience.
