Program Description
The National Certificate 4 in Tour Guiding is an advanced degree created to give students the professional competencies, practical abilities, and specialized knowledge needed to succeed as tour guides in the travel and hospitality sector. This curriculum enhances learners’ capacity to give outstanding guest experiences and showcase the Maldives’ cultural and natural heritage while offering comprehensive training in tour planning, coordination, conduct, and management.
Developing advanced skills in tourism operations, customer service, communication, leadership, and workplace professionalism is the program’s main goal. In addition to gaining a thorough understanding of Maldivian culture, heritage, tourism products, and local laws, learners will develop practical skills in tour management, tour group leadership, tour commentary, and tour service promotion. Additionally, the curriculum improves writing and ICT skills, emergency response abilities, foreign language fluency, and the capacity to handle diversity and deliver excellent customer service to guests from a range of cultural backgrounds.
