Program Description

The goal of the Diploma in Islamic Banking and Finance is to give students a solid foundation in the concepts and procedures of financial services and banking that adhere to Shariah. The curriculum prepares graduates for professions in the expanding field of Islamic banking and finance by providing them with fundamental knowledge in Islamic finance, banking operations, financial contracts, Islamic economics, and ethical financial decision-making.

Modules include Shariah Basics for Islamic Finance, Islamic Financial Contracts, Introduction to Islamic Banking, Islamic Economics and Markets, Reporting Islamic Financial Transactions, and Essential English for Academic Purposes will provide students with both theoretical and practical understanding. Understanding Islamic financial systems, moral investing, banking operations, and Shariah-compliant financial reporting are the main goals of the curriculum.

The curriculum, which is offered both in-person and online, prepares students for careers in Islamic banking and financial organizations by fusing academic knowledge with real-world application. Graduates will have the skills necessary to assist the expansion of Islamic banking organizations in regional and global markets and contribute to ethical financial services.

General Entry

  • Successful completion of Higher Secondary Education OR
  • Attainment of a Level 4 qualification in a related field OR
  • Attainment of a Level 4 Foundation Study Program approved for the specific Diploma program.

Alternative Entry

  • Completion of a Level 4 qualification (unrelated) AND
  • successful completion of an MQA approved University Preparation Program OR
  • 20 years old, completion of secondary school AND
  • 2 years of relevant work experience AND
  • successful completion of an MQA approved University Preparation Program.
