At IITE’s Maritime School, established in 2010, we specialize in cultivating maritime expertise through local and international certificates, particularly for domestic transport licensing and the International Maritime Industry. Courses include Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping (STCW), professional maritime courses, along with shipping and logistic courses. The total Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation Approved Programs are 20, and we have graduated 10,651 students in 858 programs by the end of 2024.

IITE’s Business School, established in 2017, stands as a beacon of diverse education, offering a spectrum of certificates in critical disciplines such as Human Resources, Business Administration, Business Management, Marketing, Project Management, Accounting and Finance, as well as the intersection of Shari’a and Law. Our comprehensive programs equip students with the skills and knowledge required to thrive in today’s dynamic business landscape. The total Maldives Qualification Approved Programs are 31 (level 1-6), and we have graduated 561 students in 67 programs by the end of 2024 convocation.
Addressing the national imperative to cultivate a skilled local workforce capable of meeting the demands of various industries, IITE responded to the call by initiating the Technical, Vocational Education, and Training (TVET) School in 2022. The training programs offered by IITE TVET School directly align with the six major employment sectors in the Maldives: Transport, Social, Construction, Fisheries and Agriculture, Tourism, and Information Communication Technology. Experienced lecturers, trained in their respective fields and possessing practical expertise, deliver these programs. The Island Institute of Tertiary Education boasts an impressive portfolio of training programs, including initiatives such as the Maldives Enhancing Employability and Resilience of Youth Project (MEERY), National Apprenticeship Program (NAP), Community Upskilling Program (CUP), Transparency Project, and Inhouse Trainings. The total Maldives Skill Development Authority Approved Programs are 26, and we have graduated 404 students in 47 programs by the end of 2024.
