Program Description
A foundational certificate, the National Certificate 3 in Electrical Installation and Maintenance is intended to give students the fundamental knowledge, technical proficiency, and practical abilities needed to operate in the electrical industry. This course offers practical instruction in the installation, upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and residential settings.
Students will gain hands-on experience in low-voltage (LV) electrical installation, workshop procedures, electrical system inspection, testing, service, and maintenance. Additionally, the program teaches students to engineering measurements, power generation systems, basic home automation, and material estimation for electrical installations. Along with technical proficiency, students will acquire useful job skills in computer operations, first aid, customer service, professionalism, communication, occupational health and safety, and fire response.
