Program Description

In order to prepare students for entry-level positions in the digital workplace or further education in IT-related subjects, the Certificate 3 in Information Technology aims to equip students with fundamental knowledge and useful skills in information technology. In order to help students comprehend and support contemporary digital systems, the curriculum exposes them to fundamental IT concepts such as computer hardware, software, networking, internet technologies, and web design.

The foundations of information technology, such as computer systems, software programs, data storage, and network operations, will become clear to students. Basic computer networking principles, protocols, and security are also covered in the curriculum, giving students the tools they need to support and solve typical IT-related tasks.

Additionally, the program covers internet and web design, giving students a foundational understanding of online technology and website building. The course, which is offered both in-person and online, blends theoretical knowledge with real-world application to develop technical confidence, problem-solving skills, and digital competency for the technologically advanced world of today.

Graduates will have the fundamental IT skills needed to support workplace IT operations, pursue entry-level positions in the IT industry, or pursue additional education in information technology and related fields.
